We are seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to join our leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of an iconic restaurant while working in a dynamic, creative, and supportive environment. 

Role Summary:

The General Manager is a senior-level hospitality professional responsible for overseeing the guest-facing operation of the restaurant. They nurture and improve systems that serve the restaurant’s vision and keep our business relevant and profitable.  They are also responsible for implementing new initiatives, managing the front of house staff, ensuring high quality & consistency in steps of service, and maintaining a thriving, safe, & efficient restaurant environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of front-of-house staff, ensuring a high standard of performance and a positive work environment.
     
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth service, efficient workflow, and an exceptional guest experience.
     
  • Financial Management: Manage the restaurant’s budget, financial reports, and cost controls, ensuring profitability without sacrificing quality.
     
  • Guest Relations: Foster strong relationships with guests, ensuring consistent, personalized service that upholds the Young Joni standard of excellence.
     
  • Strategic Growth: Collaborate with the ownership team to drive business growth through creative marketing strategies, menu development, and staff training programs.
     
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain and enforce health, safety, and cleanliness standards, adhering to all local regulations and industry best practices.
     

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role at a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
     
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a high performance leadership team; ensure performance expectations are clear for everyone in the front-of-house and that team members have the knowledge and support to meet them.
     
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financials, budgeting, prime cost management in the restaurant industry. Manage compliance with policies and regulations to ensure safety for team and guests. You have working proficiency with FOH admin systems and operational platforms; preferred experience with POS (Toast); reservations (Open Table); scheduling (7shifts); Google Workspace; restaurant mgmt software (Margin Edge)
     
  • Guest-Centric Mindset: A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, with a focus on hospitality and attention to detail.Continuously align the team around a shared vision for an intentional guest experience and support the systems needed to achieve it
     
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with staff, guests, and ownership.
     
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment, managing multiple priorities with ease.

  • Competitive and equitable salary range that starts at $74,000 - $90,000 annually (negotiable based on experience); 40-50 hours a week with two days off per week
